History in the Making

Georgia is once again making her mark in the history books. Our 2010 trail will include the first ever kayak fishing tournaments in conjunction with outdoor living festivals.

Outdoor living booths, arts & crafts, great food, kayak demos, fishing demos, educational and environmental booths -entertainment for the entire family all set to make the tournaments and festivals family oriented days of fun and excitement. Could you think of a better way to share your sport with friends and family?

The Prizes

The purse structure will be one of the highest, if not the highest in kayak fishing history. Because of the generous support of our major sponsors (listed below), GKF is offering over $40,000 in cash and prizes in purses! Prizes will be awarded to the winners at each tournament in addition to prizes awarded for the Overall Series Championship. Details will be announced when the prize structure is finalized.


Charitable Giving

Proceeds from the festivals will be donated to three worthy charities each committed to continuing and protecting Georgia’s rich outdoor heritage:

The Georgia Kayak Fishing Foundation

Is that gonna happen again this year? I mean not that i mind if GA keeps the Golden Paddle, but we really should give those silly SC boys and girls a chance to lose again....oops, I mean win it back!
